'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' to End After Season Four, Rachel Bloom Confirms

Following the announcement, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend co-creator and star Rachel Bloom took to Twitter to celebrate the exciting news and-simultaneously-dropped a major bombshell.

The CW Network made some major moves today, renewing 10 of its current primetime series.

Still, that insane would end with its fourth season should come as no surprise.

The shows earning early 2018-2019 renewals include Arrow, Black Lightning, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, The Flash, Jane The Virgin, Riverdale, Supergirl, and Supernatural. The bummer is that, sadly, this will be the series' final season.

"As the CW expands to a six-night, Sunday through Friday schedule next season, we are proud to have such a deep bench of great returning series for 2018-19", said CW president Mark Pedowitz. Yet Oliver Queen and company will be back for at least one more go-round in the fall.

Supernatural has been picked up for a 14th season, continuing its streak as The CW's longest running show to date; buzzy teen soap Riverdale will return for a third run; and all five of Greg Berlanti's superhero dramas have received renewals.

While the network did not officially support Bloom's claims, she did previously tell The Hollywood Reporter that four seasons was "ideal" for the show's lifespan. I personally think this could be a final season as it just doesn't feel the same anymore after their 5 year jump.

Three other filmed-in-B.C. CW shows are also awaiting news of their fate, including The 100, iZombie and Life Sentence starring Lucy Hale. And if you're a fan of the iconic Arrowverse shows, then you'll be happy to know that it has indeed renewed all of these respective shows for a new season.

Are you glad that these shows will return?
