Michael Malone "didn't have any issues" with Jamal Murray's behavior against Lakers

ESPN billed the Cavaliers-Lakers game Sunday night as "LeBron X Lonzo", and while LeBron James had a better game (24 points) than Lonzo Ball (five points), several other players stepped up big for the Lakers in a 127-113 win.

After the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets on Friday, the rookie guard took some shots at Nuggets counterpart Jamal Murray.

"I felt like for the second time we played here, Murray was being a little disrespectful at the end of the game", said Walton, who would not go into specifics.

Murray finished with 22 points and eight assists.

Walton said he was angry at Murray for "disrespectful" trash talk in the closing moments of the game.

Denver coach Michael Malone said prior to Sunday's game against Sacramento that he has since talked to Murray about the matter, but added he did not have a problem with Murray's behavior.

"I can't control what the other team's gonna feel", Murray said.

"Jamal plays with emotion", Malone said.

Thomas acted coyly and would not say what words were exchanged between himself and Murray. Jokic (21 points, six rebounds, six assists) then answered a Lonzo Ball conversion inside with a tip-in to push Denver's lead to 121-116 with 40.3 seconds remaining.

Throughout his National Basketball Association career, LeBron James has showcased his superb all-around game, which has helped erect his status as one of the best players to ever play the game.

After Kentavious Caldwell-Pope made a 3 with 6:03 left to put L.A. up 110-107, the Lakers suddenly went cold. The Lakers shot 48.9 percent from the field, while the Nuggets made 50.6 percent of their shots - including 16 of 31 3-pointers. They went three minutes without scoring. However, they were able to bounce back and finish the game on a surging run sealing the victory for the Denver Nuggets.

The Nuggets went ahead 46-33 after a miscommunication on defense between Kyle Kuzma and Thomas allowed Juancho Hernangomez to slip into the paint for an uncontested layup.

Thomas tried to recover but ended up fouling the second-year forward, leading to a free throw that gave the Nuggets their largest lead of the game at 13. Randle scored 10 points in the third period.

The Cavs have their work cut out for them, though, as the Lakers have been playing superbly in this game.
