The launch of the latest smartphones in the Redmi Note series comes after the company launched the Redmi Note 4 past year which became the No. 1 selling smartphone in the country in its price range.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is the first smartphone to run Qualcomm's Snapdragon 636 processor under its hood.

With the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi is finally bringing a dual-camera setup to the Redmi lineup. The "standard" Redmi Note 5 is essentially the Redmi Note 4 repackaged in a new bottle.

The smartphone comes in two variants - 3GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64 GB storage and will feature a Snapdragon 625 processor. Apart from the fingerprint sensor, Xiaomi is also offering Face Unlock for authenticating the device.

The Mi TV 4 is bundled with 11-button Mi Remote that works with the TV and Set Top Box, using the Mi IR cable.

Both phones will still ship with MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat, but it shouldn't be long for Xiaomi to rollout an Android Oreo update in the near future given its good track record in software udpates. The front selfie camera is of 20 megapixel and is equipped with LED selfie light. It will be offered in two variants - 3 GB / 32GB internal storage and 4 GB RAM / 64GB internal storage.
