Silverware would make Chelsea's season a success, says Hazard

"But we know that the Premier League is very hard, we have already lost a few games this year and we have three months ahead of us".

Standing in Barcelona's way in the Champions League is a two-legged tie with Chelsea in the last 16, which Hazard believes could go either way despite the contrasting form of the two sides.

"I think the Premier League is hard".

Antonio Conte led the Blues to the Premier League title in his first season in English football, Chelsea having failed to qualify for Europe after finishing 10th in the 2015-2016 campaign.

They look set to miss out on a Premier League trophy again this year but face lowly Ostersunds in the Europa League. This year we have less time to be ready for the games.

Compared to their top-six rivals the Gunners have struggled, after the opening 26 rounds of fixtures - Elneny featuring in seven - they've conceded the most goals (35), suffered the most losses (7) and only last season's champions Chelsea (46) have scored fewer than them - albeit Spurs and Manchester United have registered the same amount as Wenger's men (51).

"From the start of my experience with Chelsea they try to stay behind me in every game and they continue to do this and I am happy and proud for this".

Too much tweaking has been blamed for the reversal in fortune, with Belgian forward Hazard telling ESPN FC on the evolution at Stamford Bridge: "We changed a couple of things, we lost players, we brought some new ones and every year is different". "This season we are not the same as last season, of course, and they are very good but in the end it is a cup tie and you never know what happens".
