Asus will be hosting a launch event that will take place during the MWC 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. That said, there are chances that Asus's ZenFone 5 series of smartphones will be powered by the latest flagship processor Snapdragon 845.
The company has scheduled a press event on February 27 and the poster for the event clearly hints that it's going to be the Zenfone 5 series that gets unveiled at this event. The event is slated for February 27 and it will kick off at 7:30 PM CET (12 AM IST). In this event Asus most probably will launch its Zenfone 5 Series. It will be live-streamed on the company's social channels and official website. Some rumors suggest that we might see at least three devices - Zenfone 5, Zenfone 5 Lite and Zenfone 5 Max with massive battery.
Word has it that ASUS could be launching two models - the ZenFone 5 Max and ZenFone 5 Lite. As usual, Asus will launch a plethora of new devices under the Zenfone 5 lineup. It is expected to come running the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and have several feature upgrades over its predecessor Zenfone 4 Max. It also appears to come with features, such as Wi-Fi Direct and Miracast support.
Asus is also in rumours for developing the ZenFone 5 Lite that recently received a certification in Russian Federation. The phone is rumoured to sport a 6-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a Snapdragon SoC.
The new phones are arriving just five months after the Zenfone 4 versions hit the market.
