Antonio Conte questions his future at Chelsea

The two Premier League bosses have traded barbs since the new year after Mourinho's comment he did not feel the need to behave like "a clown" during games touched a nerve with Conte.

"It was an accident, an incredible accident", Conte said on Friday. "He played for the national team and is scoring with regularity in this league and is a good player, but this different - I am talking about him because you ask me and not the transfer market".

"I have another year of (my) contract with this club", he said.

Chelsea are, thus, keeping their options open, with a number of managers being on the shortlist to replace Conte, the latest being compatriot Allegri.

"I have another year of contract at this club, but in football everything in possible". Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti also won 25, with Mourinho drawing and Ancelotti losing their 31st home games in charge.

One name not under consideration is Carlo Ancelotti, which is surprising since the 58-year-old won a league and FA Cup double with Chelsea in 2010.

According to reports in British media, Chelsea are looking at potential replacements for the Italian, including Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, in case Conte does decide to leave.

"I am not sure Chelsea are going to do too much trading in this window, I really do not". In football now it's very hard to predict if you can stay for many years in one club, especially now in England. As I said before I am always telling the same things.

Conte says Chelsea may consider promoting an academy player to allow Kenedy to go on loan, with Newcastle United interested in adding the Brazilian in January.

Blaming the conflict on personal issues rather than professional, Conte said to BBC Sport: "This is not a problem from the club, it is a problem between me and him".

However, Conte opted to bring the Belgian off in the 84th minute of the game, despite Chelsea still searching for a victor in front of their home fans.
