The chanteuse herself revealed the good news on Twitter and stated that the show will be a brand new one, created specifically for Vegas, and that surely has Gaga fans already looking for unavailable tickets years in advance.
The singer's Las Vegas residency has been rumored for some time, and when asked about possibly doing a series of shows by hosts of local radio station Mix 94.1 FM in January, she replied, "I'm excited someday to do that".
Bill Hornbuckle, President of MGM Resorts International said, "Our announcement today of Lady Gaga joining an wonderful lineup of talent at Park Theater is monumental for Lady Gaga fans, MGM Resorts and the Park MGM brand".
As far as how much Lady Gaga will get paid for this residency, the LVRJ says it's a lot less than the rumors that have been circulating online.
Mother Monster confirmed the news across her social media platforms Tuesday.
Gaga's residency will start in December 2018. She is expected to earn $400,000 for each performance, or $15 million over the course of the residency. Brittany Spears, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez and Elton John has all had successful runs in Sin City. The success of the show highlighted a shift in both the culture and demographics of the Las Vegas Strip. "Thank you to my fans for always believing in me". According to Gaga, one thing is for sure at the moment: "I'll leave my heart on the stage every single night". With her residency on the horizon, 2018 is looking good for Gaga.
