Capcom will release Mega Man 11 in 2018

Capcom announced on the official Mega Man Twitter today that all eight Mega Man X games are going to be making comebacks, coming to the Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Capcom revealed Mega Man 11 - the first main series entry since 2010 - in a fun little video that walked the iconic character through 30 years of Mega Manning.

"The classic series takes a leap forward in visual presentation in Mega Man 11 with a 2.5D design direction introducing attractive, completely hand-drawn characters and environments", Capcom said.

It's not a Mega Man game these days unless you spend some time on a construction site. Mega Man 11 was announced and will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows PC in late 2018.

Capcom, the Capcom logo, Ace Attorney, Devil May Cry, Mega Man, Monster Hunter and Resident Evil are either registered trademarks or trademarks of Capcom Co., Ltd., in the US or other countries.

To date, there have been two Mega Man Legacy Collections. It's unclear when they'll hit the console but it should be before Mega Man 11 releases. You can check out the archived Mega Man 30th Anniversary Celebration livestream, right here. Mega Man 9 and 10 were both developed by Inti Creates, so this is the first internally developed Mega Man platformer since Mega Man X8. That function will be included on Legacy Collections owned on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Capcom promises to share more information on Mega Man's new adventure next Summer.
