That word arrived in the form of a short teaser video that featured people reacting to trailers from previous Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in a very knowing nod to how excited people get for their first glimpses at all things Marvel.

Directors: Avengers 4 will continue with the same creative team that gave Marvel its successful hits Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War.

Johannson's multi-film contract with the MCU is set to expire after Avengers 4, as are those of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner.

Marvel have been ramping up their marketing for Avengers: Infinity War this week, with a trailer teaser, (not a teaser trailer- I know, we were confused too) landing on YouTube today.

The feature notes that some of the most prominent characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are likely to exit the franchise in one way or another at the conclusion of the fourth Avengers film, now scheduled to hit theaters in May 2019. Marvel has films scheduled all the way into 2020, and Feige teased that the studio has films in the pipeline that "completely different from anything that's come before - intentionally".

The Marvel movie that brings together all The Avengers, Guardian and everything else in between together to battle one massive galactic battle which has been building up for the last 10 years.

The poster follows the tradition established by The Avengers and its 2015 sequel Avengers: Infinity War...

What do you think is going to happen to the future of the MCU? Avengers: Infinity War opens in theaters on May 4, 2018.

"We'll take blame for the scale because we were pushing for it", Joe Russo told Vanity Fair.
