The senior diplomat said the arrival of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Russian Federation is a historic event, as it is the first ever official visit by a Saudi Arabian monarch in the history of bilateral relations.

King Salman bin Abdulaziz will kick off on Thursday his first official visit to Russian Federation. Earlier today, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a pan-Arab daily, Asharq al-Awsat that Moscow is committed to working with Riyadh to continue the implementation of the deal, Reuters reported.

São Paulo - Saudi Arabia's economy registered a decline from April to June of this year for the second consecutive quarter, according to information published this weekend by the website Gulf Business, based on data from the General Authority for Statistics. Though Russia will not be replacing the U.S. in this regard due to the many complicated connections the Middle East has with the West in general and America in particular, Moscow is trying to encourage Middle Eastern countries to have better relations based on mutual understanding and common benefits.

Saudi Arabia, the Arab world's largest economy, has since introduced social and economic reforms aimed at ending its historic dependence on oil prices.

Russia's Novak said Tuesday that oil exports would also be the focus of the Russia Energy Week 2017, which begins in Moscow on Wednesday.

OPEC and non-OPEC ministers will work on recommendations for the next major meeting between global producers in November, Novak said.

King Salman's visit also comes a month before OPEC oil producers are due to meet with other nations outside the group to discuss extending a pact on cutting crude output, that has helped prop up prices.
