Xiaomi to launch Mi 5X with dual rear cameras on 5th September

That may soon change, however, as Xiaomi has begun teasing an India event on September 5 which may see one of these handsets unveiled. The company is also inviting fans to attend the launch event. Even if the company has not revealed the name but we all are expecting the Mi 5X. You can watch the live stream here. Xiaomi also posted a teaser image on its Twitter India account announcing its intentions to release the phone. Xiaomi is all set to launch its new smartphone in India. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has released press invitations for the event to be held in New Delhi. RT if you are excited. But it is expected that Xiaomi will launch Xiaomi Mi 5X. The Xiaomi Mi 6 was priced at RMB 2499 ( Rs. 23445 approx) and the ceramic variant (not available in India) costed RMB 2999 (Rs. 28153 approx.) at the time of its launch in China. The main highlights of the Mi 5X are its dual rear camera setup, Android 7.0 Nougat-based MIUI 9.0 operating system, crystal clear audio with DHS Audio Calibration Algorithm.

Up front, the The Mi 5X features a 5.5-inch LTPS Full HD display, with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The Xiaomi Mi 5x is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor along with 4GB of RAM. The phone runs MIUI 9 out of the box.

The invite gives little information about the phone - but it does hint at the presence of a dual-camera setup. The primary camera comes with a wide-angle lens with 1.25-micron pixel size and f/2.2 aperture, while the other is a telephoto lens with 1-micron pixel sensor and f/2.6 aperture. At front, it gets a 5-megapixel camera. So it is expected that the Xiaomi Mi 5X smartphone price in India will be around 14000 to 15000. The storage can be expanded by means of microSD card up to 128GB. Connectivity options of the phone iclude 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C port. The Mi 6, one of Xiaomi's flagship phones, launched in April, while the Mi 5X went on sale more recently on August 1. Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Magnetometer, Infrared, Fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted) and Gyroscope sensor.
