Preorders for the Xbox One X should become available again sometime during the fall, but if you were holding out for the special "Project Scorpio Edition", it seems you've missed out. Microsoft announced that this edition of the Xbox One S will be a variant with 1 TB of storage, as noted by The Verge.
No, you won't have to buy the Project Scorpio Edition to stand your Xbox One X upright. It's called the Project Scorpio Edition, features a slightly modified design (covered in garish text), and comes with a vertical stand. The "Minecraft" Limited Edition Xbox One S is now available for retail at $399, and will ship out on October 3. In fact, many third-party developers are already working on enhanced games which will help highlight Xbox One X's true hardware power. The Xbox One X was first announced at E3 2016.
Though the Xbox One doesn't have much in the way of exclusives coming this holiday season, especially with Crackdown 3 being delayed to spring of next year, Microsoft's announcement that it would be publishing the hugely successful PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a glimmer of hope for the console come late 2017. However, the best thing about this deal is that fans aren't forced to turn their older console as soon as they type in the pre-orders.
We've been hearing about the One X for so long that you'd be forgiven for forgetting that it's still not out yet. Your games play better on Xbox One X and blockbuster titles look great, run smoothly, and load quickly even on a 1080p screen.
Unfortunately for Microsoft, there are no easy answers to this problem.
Exodus, there are numerous Grade A releases coming for the console and indeed all Xbox One machines.
