Fans make John Cena cry

He's granted more than 500 wishes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, among other acts of kindness.

Cricket Wireless published a video Monday in which fans of the WWE penned him letters, detailing how he inspired them to overcome their biggest obstacles. When he opened the heartfelt notes of appreciation, Cena was already visibly emotional. Thanks to Cricket Wireless, they were able to answer that question and it's one of the best things you'll see all year.

Young Tyler describes the anguish he endured when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer - and lets Cena know a wristband the former WWE champ once gave him in a crowded venue kept him hanging on. At the end of the video, Tyler broke through a paper wall, finally getting to speak with his idol. She is now cancer-free.

But Tyler wasn't the only fan to bring John (and us) to tears. Each fan who wrote Cena appeared afterwards to thank him again for everything he's done for them.

One John Cena is the guy who, depending on who you talk to, actively buries young talent he doesn't like and changes the finish of matches so he looks extra strong in victory. 'Don't think that you're the only one up against it and have challenges to face. you lead by example and I mean it when I say: Never give up. "This is a championship squad right here". "This is a great moment". "And it's a reaffirming message of being mindful that your actions affect those close to you".
