3 young girls killed in Maryland home


An adult family member arrived at the home Friday morning and found the children dead in the house, located on the 6400 block of Brooke Jane Drive, Prince George's County police said.

The scene was heartbreaking to police; counseling services are being offered to those who responded to the home. They were found to have suffered from 'trauma to the body, ' Donelan said.

Police said they are trying to determine what happened inside this home that left an aftermath of three children under the age of 10 dead.

Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time, they have launched a full homicide investigation today.

At a news conference Friday afternoon, officials sought to assure the community that police are working tirelessly to find those responsible. It is not known if the girls were related or not.

She did say she believes the incident is confined to that particular home.

A family member who returned to the home in Clinton, a suburb of Washington, discovered the bodies and called police at about 7:30 a.m. EDT.

"This is one of the most hard scenes that our officers have arrived on", Donelan told reporters near the crime scene on the 6400 block of Brooke Jane Drive in Clinton, Md.

"We are so very, very devastated for these young, lovely children and their families", Alsobrooks said.
