She says the St. Louis Cardinals ... or at least a member of the team ... have expressed interest in adopting Rally Cat.

After the game, a fan insisted on taking the cat home, but it escaped when the fan tried to handle it.

Happy Caturday! You may have already heard about the determined kitten zooming across the field during the August 9 game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals. But the woman who claimed the cat outside Busch Stadium quickly lost track of our furry friend, leaving a cute kitty wandering the city streets and many St. Louisians in a state of alarm.

We are hopeful someone will find the cat and contact us so we can properly care for it. The cat was instantly dubbed #RallyCat on Twitter, and St. Louis went on to win.

Of course, we can't forget the greatest exhibition of cat sportsmanship ever-the Kitten Bowl.

The streaking Cardinals have won seven games in a row overall and, including the contest in which Molina hit the grand slam, have captured three straight victories since the cat appeared. 'Our grounds crew is looking to develop a stray animal protocol to ensure the safety of both the grounds crew and animal should this happen again'.

Friday morning, the St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach posted a photo of a kitten that was trapped at the City Garden overnight.
