Dolphins agree to one-year, $10M deal with QB Jay Cutler

His introductory news conference was Monday, after signing a $10 million deal to be injured Ryan Tannehill's replacement under Dolphins coach Adam Gase, Cutler's former offensive coordinator. $10 million, along with some incentives, and I say this is a good deal.

But at least for this year, signing Cutler bodes well for the Dolphins trying to get back to the playoffs for the second year in a row, something they haven't done since 2001. I'm confident we'll get something done.

I got texts from multiple team sources late Sunday about how excellent a fit Cutler is and how well this addition can potentially work out for the Dolphins. That season was Cutler's most productive season in the NFL.

"Maybe I'll follow it a little closer", Glennon said of Cutler's return.

Hell, Gase even got Cutler to smile more in the locker room.

Kyle Orton was another quarterback for Gase on that Broncos team and, according to Salguero, he was also one of the quarterbacks the Dolphins considered following Tannehill's injury.

Over the past 500 action plays, Moore averaged.102 EPA/P, better than Cutler at.079 over the same span.

Still to be determined is how quickly Cutler can shake off the rust and lingering doubts about his attitude, toughness and decision-making, all of which were often questioned in Chicago.

While Mitch Trubisky is going to take the job eventually, Glennon is the Bears' starting quarterback in 2017. Think of it: Cutler and Tannehill or more or less comparable in that they both have similar arm strength and talent. "I know everybody here wishes him nothing but the best". His left knee buckled while he scrambled without contact. The new quarterback is expected to go through his first practice Tuesday morning.

"I think she got exhausted of me around the house", said Cutler, who was living with his wife in Nashville.
