Other actors and actresses who will join Schumer on Broadway include Keegan-Michael Key who will also be making his Broadway debut and Tony victor Laura Benanti.

"It's a hot night in Ojai, California, and Corky (Amy Schumer) and her husband Norm (Alan Tudyk) are having another couple over for dinner". "Meteor Shower" will also mark Key's first time on Broadway, though he is now acting in "Hamlet" at the Public Theater in NY.

Amy Schumer will make her Broadway debut this November in Steve Martin's new comedy, "Meteor Shower".

It's about two couples who get together to observe the celestial event that inspires the title.

"Meteor Shower" will have already had two large-scale productions when it arrives in NY this fall; it ran a year ago at Long Wharf Theater in New Haven, Connecticut, as well as in San Diego at the Old Globe Theater, where "Bright Star" also ran out of town prior to Broadway. The show was a co-production with the Long Wharf Theater in New Haven, which opened its own production of the show shortly after its run at the Old Globe ended. As the Times reports, reviews of the show's two initial runs were mixed. It won't be her first time trying her hand at a Martin vehicle; she once appeared in his play "Picasso at the Lapin Agile". Martin also released a book of his full-length and short plays in 1997.

Under the esteemed direction of Jerry Zaks, who was most recently at the helm of the "Hello, Dolly!" revival, "Meteor Shower" will bow on Broadway at the Booth Theater, with previews beginning November 1 and an opening night set for November 29.
