During tonight's game, there was an incident involving a security guard. "We take this incident seriously". She didn't see the whole thing, but at one point, she saw two female security guards involved in a fight with a female fan.
Video taken during the A's game at Rickey Henderson Field on Monday showed a female security officer attacking a woman in Section 322.
According to EastBayTimes.com, fans said "other guards appeared to express aggression against other fans".
The fan, who has not been identified, was escorted from the stadium before police arrived.
It was not known what was stolen, but authorities said some of the items in the backpack were still missing. Several videos of the incident were uploaded to social media.
An East Bay Times staffer attending the game watched as five or six security guards walked along the walkway in the upper deck and that one guard seemed to be looking for someone specific. "We come to you for help as a security guard, not for us to defend ourselves against you".
"Some people are very nasty and unruly nowadays, so she was probably defending herself", Khadijah Webb said. The team also will not use security subcontractor USSA for Tuesday night's game and is re-evaluating the company's contract.
The A's said Tuesday they have launched an investigation into the incident and will forward their findings to police. This individual will not return to work A's games.
