Perisic has been playing for Inter in their pre-season matches but is still thought to be pushing for an exit.
Inter are holding out for a fee of £50m and have also introduced the possibility of taking Anthony Martial in part-exchange, which the Red Devils have dismissed out of hand.
United have been tipped to land Perisic for around £50million, which would be a £35m profit for Inter on the sum they paid to Wolfsburg for the 28-year-old two years ago. "If I were asked to find fault in that performance it would be that we could have been a little more aggressive", Spalletti added. "He's a great player, he's one of ours and I want to keep him here with me, but we'll have to consider what the club and the player want to do".
"For me the talk is always the same when it comes to him".
And Spalletti said on Thursday: "Our intention is to keep Perisic if possible".
'Whether he played well tonight or not isn't important.
"Overall Inter played a very good game and I'm very proud of my team", said the former Roma coach.
Inter boss Luciano Spalletti says he wants the Croatia global to stay but the situation may be out of his control. He did Lindelof and Lukaku, he knows that I would like two more players, but he also knows that I have balance.
The Italian source suggest that the German club do not want to sell their star players and therefore, it is expected that Forsberg will remain at Leipzig.
"Then, if a satisfactory offer were to arrive, that would change things and we could even consider the offer. I used a lot of young players from the academy and, honestly, they did really well".
