mAadhaar app is a newly launched mobile application by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). The report says the app allows users to carry their Aadhaar demographic information and can be downloaded on Google Play. Now available on the Android platform, the app provides an interface to Aadhaar number holders to carry their demographic information, which is, name, date of birth, gender and address along with photograph by linking their Aadhaar number to their smart phones. At present, it's Android only and an iOS version is expected soon.
The "m Aadhaar" app lets you carry your Aadhaar information on your smartphone. The registered mobile number will link with the mAadhaar app on your device, and the mAadhaar will generate. Here are all the details, and the features you should know.
Once the app is installed and registration complete user does not to carry physical card and the app itself shows data such has name, date of birth, gender, address and the photograph on the device. Apart from providing the digital version of the Aadhaar card, the app does a lot more. For example, users can enable or disable their biometric data.
Interestingly, the app uses biometric data to lock or unlock the app. They can simply disable the locking system on the app.
Apart from this, there is a system of Time-based One-Time Password generation.
Further, there's a new 'Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP),' which is an algorithm that computes and OTP from a shared secret key and the current time, which removes the hassle of SMS-based OTP functionality. This will ensure that the your details are much safer than ever. In conclusion, clients can refresh their profiles as well after successful completion of the request.
