Gas prices continue to drop in MA


Gas prices are down 4 cents from last years Independence Day weekend with a national average of $2.28 per gallon. This week's statewide average of $2.05 per gallon is two cents lower than last week at this time. SC continues to carry the cheapest gas in the country at $1.90. Motorists in Miami-Dade County were paying an average $2.25, a 3-cent drop compared to the previous Monday.

According to AAA Kansas, with the record-breaking Independence Day holiday travel weekend underway, average gas prices in Kansas continue their steady decline this summer.

This week, CT is now at 10th place on the list of states with the most expensive gas averages in the nation. Three stations in the Largo area of Pinellas County were competing at $1.89.

SC still has the cheapest average gas price in the country at $1.90 a gallon, despite a two-cent increase in gas taxes. Experts said prices will start inching higher soon.

At the rest stop along Interstate-71 North near Columbus, holiday travelers 10TV spoke to from as far away as NY and MI were pleasantly surprised to see Ohio's gas prices.

For the first time ever, gas prices are expected to be lower on the Fourth than on New Year's Day. Over the past two months now, prices are down by almost 15 cents, according to data provided by AAA.

AAA has more than 331,000 members in Kansas.
