Woman's body found in 'out of order' Walmart bathroom


An Oklahoma woman who was dead inside a Sand Springs Walmart bathroom for three days was identified on Tuesday, but authorities are still investigating the her cause of death.

'We're searching through the video and talking to as many people as we can to find out her story, where she's from, ' Sand Springs Police Capt. Todd Enzbrenner told Tulsa World.

Caraway was caught on surveillance footage entering the Walmart around 6pm local time on Friday (23 June), the Associated Press reported. It's unclear how long the body was in the restroom, but employees assumed it was "out of order" and placed a sign on the door before the weekend.

Sand Springs police have identified the woman as 29-year-old Katherine Caraway from Muskogee.

Employees unlocked the bathroom on Monday and found the woman. "So the medical examiner will have to determine it".

The identity of the woman was not released and the medical examiner was tasked with determining the exact cause of death. "Because this is an ongoing investigation, we must refer you to them for additional information", the statement reads, according to Fox23.
