Independence Day 2017: Where to see fireworks in and around New Orleans

East Windsor will celebrate America's independence with fireworks and live music at Etra Lake Park on Saturday, July 1.

Parking and admission for each celebration are free. The fireworks finale will be in the evening on July 4.

The Harbor Springs parade will start at 1 p.m.at Zoll and Main streets and will head west on Main Street all the way to State Street, where it will wind back around toward Zoll Street. Live music, food and more.

Say what you will about American culture, but there's no denying that we know how to throw the kind of Independence Day parties that would convince even the famously stoic George Washington to let loose.

Crossville's Fourth of July celebration begins at 5 p.m. on July 4 at Crossville Centennial Park.

Fireworks shows in Callisburg and Valley View have been rescheduled after weekend rainfall made areas too muddy for spectators. Call the Fairfax County Park Authority at 703-471-5415 to reserve a space.

Here's a look at some of the Independence Day celebrations scheduled in our local communities.

- Aspen - Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration: Parade, kids' carnival, live music, picnics and fireworks; aspenchamber.org.

Jacksonville - Fourth of July Freedom Festival held at Onslow Pines Park begins at 5:00 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m. There will also be a firework show at dark that you do not want to miss.

- Quarryville: The Southern End Community Association's festival and fireworks happen July 8. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. and the fireworks will be set off after dark.

No matter where in Lexington you reside, there will be fireworks for you to go and see.

Falls Church Celebration. 7-10 p.m.at George Mason High School, 7124 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church.

Abingdon - July 1- 9:15 p.m. There's still time to enter - entry forms are due by 5 p.m. July 3. 10 a.m. On Main Street in downtown Fairfax.

Light up the Lake - Saturday, July 1 at the Mandeville Lakefront between Coffee and Carroll.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will be holding fireworks shows in several state parks in the days leading up to the July 4 holiday.

Celebrating Independence Day can be expensive, paying for everything from travel and hot dogs to fireworks and hospital bills.

Fireworks will shoot over Lake Charlevoix starting at 10:30 p.m.

The Fourth of July Patriotic Children's Parade will be hosted from 9:30 to 11 a.m. July 4 at the Johnson County Courthouse. At 10:00pm, experience a dazzling Rozzi's Famous Fireworks display overtop of the square and Macy's downtown store.

Stricker's Grove 4th of July Fireworks - Spend the day riding rides then enjoy the fireworks display at 10 p.m. The fireworks display begins after the game.

4th on the 3rd Celebration (Fort Plain, NY) - This is the city's 30 annual "4 on the 3 Celebration" taking place at Wiles Park. The run itself sets off at 7:30 a.m.

- Cape Coral Bridge and Cape Coral Parkway from Del Prado Boulevard to the bridge will close 3 a.m. July 4.
