Juve Reject Chelsea's Big Offer For Star

CHELSEA will have to go back to the drawing board after their £55.2million bid for Alex Sandro was rejected by Juventus.

Manager Antonio Conte still has a very solid relationship with the Bianconeri and hopes to take advantage of this to reach an agreement for the 26-year-old.

"Our desire is to not sell any of our most important players", general director Giuseppe Marotta told Corriere dello Sport.

Regarding Alex Sandro, the reporter simply mentioned the player's name, and Marota didn't make any ceremony before telling everything.

Chelsea was reportedly willing to pay up to €60 million ($88 million) for the left wing-back, but Juventus has no intention of parting with the Brazil global. "And players are always their own boss.I do not know how Alex Sandro reacted".

Sandro starred in Massimiliano Allegri's title-winning side last season as Juve also reached the Champions League final. The Italian is seeking to add greater depth in quality in virtually all areas of the team, and has already made it clear he is prepared to make ruthless decisions even in the wake of his squad's eye-catching efforts last term. His arrival would not necessarily see Nemanja Matic depart the club.

If the signing is completed, it is possible that no announcement will be made until the 1st of July at the earliest, due to the beginning of Chelsea's new deal with Nike coinciding with the official opening of the summer transfer window.
