Tragically, 12 people have been confirmed dead as a result, with the death toll expected to rise, and an estimated 2,000 have been left without a home.

LOCAL young lady Rita Ora could not sit idly by as Grenfell Tower - where she used to play as a child - continued to smoulder yesterday.

Ora shared a video to Snapchat showing her sorting through black bin bags of donated essentials, which had been left on a West London street.

Taking to Instagram to send her love and prayers, she wrote: "This is my neighbourhood I can't believe this is happening".

One person who visited the scene of the disaster was Adele and she has been praised by many people on Twitter for not only the humility she showed at the scene but also the fact she didn't seek any publicity whilst she was there.

Adele was also spotted helping out at the site, comforting victims with hugs and kinds words.
