Sony fires at Xbox with arsenal of big PS4 games

During E3 this week a new game has been announced by Bluepoint Games and JAPAN Studio for the PlayStation 4 which takes the form of a rebuild of the popular Shadow of the Colossus.

Microsoft is using a custom GPU engine on Scorpio that runs at 1172MHz, a big increase over the Xbox One's 853MHz and even Sony's 911MHz found on the PS4 Pro.

He added: "That's why we're able to say, over 30 games will have 4K updates for Xbox One X when we launch it".

It was announced during Microsoft's E3 presser that Minecraft is now a cross-platform title, meaning PC, Xbox One, mobile and VR players can now all play with one another, regardless of the platform they're playing on.

Responding to Microsoft's challenge, Sony on Monday showed off rich, action-packed new PlayStation 4 video games, some for virtual reality, as it defended its crown as the top-selling new-generation console. Microsoft Xbox One X is paired with 12GB of GDDR5 memory, and a memory bandwidth of 326 GB/s. In addition, the Xbox One X is marketed largely towards tech junkies, many of whom already have powerful computers. However, we can simply only laugh at the way Phil Spencer and Microsoft attempted to hype Project Scorpio as a true 4K console.

Spencer also used this argument to justify the $100 price premium over the PS4 Pro ($499 versus $399). I said. "I didn't answer it that way", he responded, intentionally not offering more detail. Xbox one X supports 4K gaming. The Xbox One, while highly regarded by many, is estimated to have undersold the Sony PlayStation 4, its biggest competitor, almost two to one. The one name notable console omitted from that list is obviously PlayStation 4. Microsoft is also courting players by working to make more popular games from earlier Xbox console versions playable on its latest hardware.
