One of the victims of Wednesday's shooting at a GOP baseball practice has been identiifed as Matt Mika, an Oakland County native, and former congressional staffer for Congressman Tim Walberg.
Mika's online LinkedIn profile shows he has worked for several MI lawmakers, including U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg and U.S. Rep. Dave Camp.
Mika is now Director of Government Relations for Tyson Foods. Walberg said Mika was helping the Republican team prepare for a game against the Democrats.
Mika graduated from Adrian College in 2001 and earned a master's degree from Western Michigan University in 2004.
