We haven't gotten to step foot into the quirky Beanbean Kingdom since Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga released on the GameBoy Advance back in 2003. The 3DS got short shrift during the Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 presentation, but the company announced some new portable goodness during their Nintendo Treehouse livestream, including Metroid: Samus Returns and a remake of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga!
Superstar Saga won fans with its unique RPG gameplay that had players using different buttons to control Mario and Luigi at the same time in battles. Bowser's Minions, Treehouse confirmed, is an entirely new, nearly full-length campaign that players will also be able to get their hands on.
Right after playing the reveal trailer, Treehouse Live employees demonstrated about 30 minutes of game footage, which can be seen above.
This remake of the GBA classic, now titled Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions is launching on Nintendo 3DS October 6th.
Whereas in Minion Quest mode you will play as Captain Goomba, leading your own Minion army - fighting across the Beanbean Kingdom as you try to locate your missing leader.
The Nintendo 3DS will never die.
